I use these socks for around the house, without shoes. Three pairs have lasted me 15 months, and I wear them 12 hours a day. They are very thick, warm and comfortable. I recommend them; but take care about shoe size as they are very thick and will not be suitable for shoes unless you have a larger size shoe than you normally wear.
